November evenings don’t have to be boring – as we learned on Friday, 17th testing New Shores – a Game for Democracy with the members of the local Kids and Youth Club run by the Stowarzyszenie Żółty Parasol. This time the game was played by a much younger audience than usually (kids aged 9-12). Yet, they did a great job while striving to ensure the safety and stability of the island. The debriefing session led after the game revealed that the kids not only had fun but also learned a valuable lesson on sustainability and common-pool resources management. “It’s very important not to overuse coal and timber. And to plant a lot of trees!” – said Pola, the youngest participant of the game session.
